National adoptive and foster family program
We worked with the national Child Protection Commission in Chisinau to establish a foster family program in 2015 that trains and assists Moldovan families so they can take in children from public orphanages and children's homes. Building up these services in cooperation with the local authorities was an immense task because there were almost no foster families in Moldova. However, our 20-year experience in this field has made us a reliable and respected partner, and we still are. But we were also active in public children's homes, where we reintegrated over 100 abandoned children into their biological families, issued social assessments for all children, and also found Moldovan adoptive families for children in a national adoption program.
