The new ceramics workshop is ready! Thanks to the generous donation from Daimler ProCent, we were able to build and equip a ceramics workshop on the grounds of the children's and youth center in Tbilisi! Here, under the guidance of a teacher, the orphans learn to make vases, flower pots and bowls, which they can paint after firing and then sell.
The money raised is then used to purchase materials and the orphans also receive a small amount of pocket money. Working creatively with clay also helps the orphans to process their traumatic experiences and boosts their self-esteem, as they have a positive experience when making their objects and can hold a beautiful result in their hands!
