Thanks to the generous and active support of several sponsors and friends, the Agapedia Children's Centre was able to officially open its new exercise area on 12 April 2024! All helpers and sponsors were invited to the event that afternoon. After one and a half years of extensive renovation work in the large garden of the Agapedia Children's Centre, the almost 60,000 Euro tYour exercise landscape could only be realised thanks to generous sponsors and donations. The main sponsor was the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix - Aces for Charity with 30,000 euros, followed by TotalEnergies Deutschland GmbH with 13,000 euros, 6,500 euros from TSG 1899 Hoffenheim and a donation of 5,000 euros each from the INDEX-Werke GmbH & Co. KG and the Esslinger Wohnungsbau GmbH. The construction and completion of the movement landscape was realised over several afternoons under the expert guidance of Müller Kinderspielgeräte e.K. by volunteers from TotalEnergies, Festo SE & Co. KG and Roundtable 161 Esslingen in energetic action! The more than 1,500 children from socially disadvantaged families who are iThe children who live in the social area of the children's centre are delighted with this new play and exercise facility, which was urgently needed. The Agapedia children were allowed to choose the individual sports modules together with the children's centre team. Now the children can improve their motor skills, coordination and stamina on a wide variety of elements, as many of them still have to make up for physical deficits and restrictions after corona. „It's really cool that we can now play so well outside,“ says Robin with shining eyes. The facility manager Gesine Haller and her team thanked all the sponsors and helpers for this great joint commitment to the children of Esslingen, and the Agapedia children's circus group „Agapino“ gave a fantastic final performance.
