We will use the generous donation that we received through the #WeKickCorona initiative for the sustainable implementation of our creative workshop and our circus training. This is where the children learn to develop their creativity. While making our Tony figures together while painting, crafting and claying, social skills and language skills are always taught at the same time. In circus training, the children learn juggling, acrobatics and diabolo skills that strengthen their self-confidence and trust in themselves. Through these non-formal educational measures, we support our children, most of whom come from educationally disadvantaged homes and have difficulties at school.
Due to the lockdown from mid-March, we have come up with new offers for our children! These include lots of creative videos with play, cooking and craft instructions as well as circus and juggling sessions or stories read online. We also sent letters to the children with craft materials and were always in contact with our children via WhatsApp so that we could be reached quickly in the event of stressful family situations, especially in the evenings. The head of the children's center Gesine Hartmann and the entire staff team would like to thank the #WeKickCorona team on behalf of all the children for this great support!
