Agapedia Children's Center Esslingen

In the afternoons, up to 50 children between the ages of six and twelve at the Agapedia children's center in Esslingen learn how to spend their free time in a meaningful way.
Children's circus, creative-artistic design, sport, games and relationship work create the basis for teaching the children important skills such as self-confidence, willingness to cooperate and decision-making skills. Through a mixture of informal and non-formal educational activities, such as dance, theater, cooking, art and music, the children learn to recognize and realize their potential.

History of Ailin

Ailin first came to the children's center when she was 10 years old. She was very shy and withdrawn at first. Over time, she began to feel at home at the children's center. She opened up more and more and through her active participation in the children's circus, especially unicycling, she became more and more self-confident. She now participates enthusiastically in the daily activities and is happy to show off her skills in performances. This has also improved her performance at school, as her class teacher happily informed us.
In addition to the open work, there are various school collaborations, i.e. school classes come to the children's center at certain times to take part in circus projects, for example. There are also vacation programs, festivals and special events on various topics.
