Empowering children and showing social commitment in the regional environment. With and in: IdeenReich!<\/strong><\/h3>\n

AGAPEDIA has been running a children's house for 6 to 12-year-olds in Esslingen since 1996 in the form of open child and youth work. Social behaviour, creativity and personality are encouraged in the children's house. Values are taught and the lack of relationships and orientation as well as child and youth criminality are prevented. The alternative form of non-formal educational work with a focus on creativity and design has made the AGAPEDIA Children's Centre in Esslingen a valued cooperation partner of the surrounding schools and the city of Esslingen.<\/p>\n

Our mission:\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n

With the \u201eYouth Future Plan\u201c adopted in 2013, the BW state government has given new political significance to non-formal and informal places of education. Formal educational institutions such as schools and universities are important places of learning. However, these formal educational institutions are increasingly under time pressure, leaving little room for the development of soft skills and the teaching of norms and values.<\/p>\n

In addition to important additional state all-day care programmes, open child and youth work is becoming increasingly important: in these places, children and young people have the opportunity to try things out, develop themselves and discover their personal strengths and passions.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
