As Romanian is also spoken in Moldova and we had gained a lot of experience with post-communist structures in Romania, the idea arose to utilise the synergies and set up aid projects here too. We travelled to Moldova for the first time at the end of the 1990s.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vc_row wpb_row vc_row-fluid dt-default\" style=\"margin-top: 0px;margin-bottom: 0px\"><div class=\"wpb_animate_when_almost_visible wpb_fadeInLeft fadeInLeft wpb_column vc_column_container vc_col-sm-6 vc_col-has-fill\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner vc_custom_1530125626525\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element\" >\n\t\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t\t\t<p style=\"font-size: 20px;\">After several trips and lengthy discussions, we were lucky enough to meet Mrs Ecaterina Mardarovici. As a former member of parliament, she was very familiar with the conditions and problems in the country. It was a matter close to her heart to help the abandoned children. In 2001, the Moldovan Agapedia Foundation was finally established. Since then, a team of over 20 employees has been active in various projects.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"wpb_animate_when_almost_visible wpb_fadeInRight
